The Ohmi "Community Architects" course is designed to train personnel involved in community revitalization within Shiga Prefecture and was selected as the FY2006 Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology "Community Revitalization Personnel Development Center Creation" program. Designed for post-graduate students (Course A) and working people (Course B), the aim of the course is to foster "community architects" who are able to organize everything from community diagnosis through to community development (community revitalization, environmental improvement, urban renewal, local cultural development, etc.) in order to meet the needs of the community.
